Manager (A&A)

Prosser, WA

Manager with minimum 5 years in public accounting, has worked with audit & attestation services for a mid to large size firm, can manage external audit engagements including client expectations, budgets and financial reporting. Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and have CPA License.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with pronouncements of professional and other regulatory groups.
  • Possess specialized technical knowledge in certain accounting areas.
  • Have advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Possess ability to supervise and review complex financial statements with minimal oversight.
  • Be invested in the success of the Firm.
  • Review or prepare monthly billing. Analyze and prepare a comparison between work in process versus budgeted time. Summarize any write downs in client notes.
  • Proactively deal with efficiency and profitability on engagements.
  • Work to build relationships with key employees of clients.
  • Develop outside contact with bankers, lawyers, and other centers of influence.
  • Suggest and help sell expanded services to existing clients.
  • Prepare evaluation reports of team members supervised and review with such person.
  • Enhance personal image and image of the Firm.
  • Ensures that the Firms quality control protocol is used on all engagements.
  • Assign work to team members based on their knowledge and capabilities.
  • Study and evaluate the internal controls used by the client and prepare or review the work program and time budget.
  • Evaluate working papers and determine that the engagement was performed in accordance with generally accepted standards and Firm policies.
  • Effectively communicate all aspects of work performed to clients, team, managers, and partners.
  • Research complex accounting questions using the research tools available and provide strategic suggestions and recommendations to assist clients in achieving their goals.

  • Helpful to have prior experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word as well as CCH Engagement, Axcess Practice, WorkStream, Knowledge Coach, Fixed Assets CS.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Compensation: Range $100,000 to $150,000, plus bonus opportunities
